![]() A Testimonial From M. C. A. HogarthIn an age where cheap desktop publishing software has fooled the average person into thinking they can do anything with their home computer and ten minutes, its difficult to find a real professional. Layout work requires meticulous attention to detail, a sense of composition and artistic sense of space, and the ability to work to constantly changing deadlines (and client demands). Publishing may have a new front end, but its an old industry with its own jargon, technique, and idiosyncracies. When youre busy editing copy or worrying about cover blurbs, you dont want to find yourself in a position of learning too late that your publisher cant print your piece because you used a strange font, or your offsets are wrong. As with many things, preparing a document for publication is best left to experts. I feel fortunate that I found one such expert in Dave Bryant, whose patience, precision and professional demeanor made all the difference in making my novel Alyshas Fall beautiful and easy to read. I know his efforts have helped sell the book, and the peace of mind my publisher and I received from knowing the manucript was in capable hands was worth the price.
