Portfolio of Sample Brochure and Data-Sheet Projects
Over the years, I have handled a wide variety of projects, more than can be perused quickly or easily. As a result, the examples provided here are representative rather than exhaustive. I would be happy to answer any questions or inquiries about particular types of projects, even if there is no direct equivalent among the selections on display. As well, professional references are available on request.
I have worked on scores of brochures, data sheets, and fliers, most of them for high-tech products—the lifeblood of Silicon Valley. Though most have been based on existing templates, not infrequently these projects have required enough modification and rework that the final versions bore only passing resemblance to the originals.
While a brochure may contain technical information, it tends to emphasize selling.
Many of these projects have crossed my desk; they varied so widely each required individual treatment.
Like the two-page brochures immediately above, I have handled a great many of these, and often had to modify greatly a given brochures lay-out.
The trifold brochure, like those above, was aimed at engineers, while the multi-fold brochure was more buyer-oriented.
Though useful tools for marketing, data sheets tend to be more technical in nature.
The limited space available on this data sheet required creative and sometimes ruthless measures in copyfitting.
With more room available to this data sheet, fitting copy was less difficult—instead, it was size and placement of the illustrations that posed the challenge.
When a quick change was needed for an existing product instruction sheet, this artwork was generated and added to the appropriate diagram.
